Civil

Civil work for subdivisions, commercial sites and land development is fully engineered, council-facing, and built to Australian Standards and local authority requirements.

Earthworks and Site Preparation

  • Bulk earthworks (cut and fill plans, balanced to specification)
  • Clearing and demolition plans
  • Detailed earthworks for infrastructure and buildings
  • Retaining and boundary wall design
  • Subgrade design

Roadworks

  • Sealed roads to private, local council/States standards
  • Intersections
  • Car parking facilities
  • Signage and line marking
  • Rail crossings
  • Cycle paths, footpaths and shared paths
  • Crossovers and vehicle turning movements

Surface Water and Drainage

Land development sites need drainage that satisfies local authority water management requirements as much as it needs to work on the ground. We run hydrology studies and flood risk assessments to inform urban and local water management plans, applying Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) principles where appropriate, then carry that through into drainage design — underground pit, pipe and storage networks, rural open drains, culverts and floodways, detention and retention basins, sedimentation management, subsoil drainage, and gutter and downpipe design — supported by overland flow and hydraulic modelling.

Water, Sewer and Fire Services

  • Water Corporation water and sewer mains extension design
  • Sewer pump stations and pressure main design
  • Internal reticulation and hydraulic design (AS3500)
  • Oily water separation
  • Fire hydrant design (AS2419), hose reel systems (AS2441)
  • Fire tanks, booster systems and ring main modelling

Public and Transport Infrastructure

  • Public transport infrastructure design
  • Improving disability access

Government and Border Facilities

We design landside facilities for ports and border infrastructure, including biosecurity-compliant inspection facilities, secure vehicle and pedestrian circulation, and passenger amenities for international arrivals — coordinated with specialist marine consultants where a port interface is involved.

Landscape and Utilities Coordination

  • Streetscape and public open space landscape design, coordinated through specialist subconsultants
  • Underground power, public lighting and communications design, coordinated through specialist subconsultants

Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls

  • Lighting studies for car parks, hardstands, offices and workshops
  • Motor Control Centre (MCC) design and upgrades
  • Variable Speed Drive (VSD) selection and integration
  • High and low voltage distribution network design
  • Earthing
  • Ring Main Unit (RMU)
  • Switchboard design and demand calculations
  • Backup power generation
